Booty Rockers Rock The Booty...It's Their Job!

Hey everyone. Sorry about the stunted post from yesterday. I just couldn't stop playing Guild Wars. By the way Moen...I finished that Level we were playing. I just couldn't help it. They begged me. But at least we have more people to play with now :) Anyway...back to the post. Class was weak as usual. I still go flawlessly but it's just getting kinda boring and most of my classmates are idiots...and they are ALL teachers. But I digress. I played a lot of Guild Wars last night. It's a really fun game and I really need to impart to everyone that it's free this weekend and I would love to play with you. The File sizes are really small and when it finally gets released there will be no subscription fee.

No updates on the medication. I'm taking 10mg tabs now. Just to see what would happen. I really don't feel any different. I guess that's good but I really thought that the world would somehow be brighter or be more in focus or something. I really don't feel any different at all. I'll be taking the medication for a full week and then if I really don't seem to see any benefit after that I'll be taking it only for homework, papers, and for tests. Dr said I could do it that way so don't reprimand me! Other than that I'm back at home this week. Kelley is taking the weekend and hanging out with her sister. I don't mind so much ...but my mother waking me up at 6 to see if I had set my alarm was totally unnecessary. Totally.

Before you get your bullets for today I have to let you all know that today is the last day for early voting. Most polls close at 7 so please get out there and vote. And if you tell me "My vote doesn't count, I live in Texas" then I have a couple of words for you: "You're a fucking idiot...Go vote!" Thank you...

oops! Sorry to delay the ammunition again but I have a statement. It's part revelation though. I'm finally of the SOLID opinion that the DS MIGHT be awsome. What swayed me from indecision? I saw the more accurately represented screens for Super Mario DS (posted yesterday). They really look good. I'm not scared about it looking bad anymore. It's not going to be an issue. Thank God. Now...take this into consideration: The DS definately connects to wireless networks through the WiFi connection. I basically realized that because of the touch screen and the connectivity and the fanbase, there's totally going to be a web browser designed for the thing eventually. That would be great. The touch screen is really going to get a lot of 3rd party developers creating a lot of new unofficial functionality. Just think about all they did with the SP and the Movie/eBook/Mp3 player and then thing about all they COULD do with a touch screen and wireless. It could be awsome. I also realized that there aren't going to be any issues with my GBA games. They will play great and on a better screen and will maintain the same battery life. I'm excited again. But I still don't think I'm going to get a DS the day it comes out. Maybe Christmas.

Reload! Reload!
Come on...you all should know that Fridays are usually pretty slow news days.

I'm really tired of carrying around this list of news so you're getting your bullets first today and then post.

Pre-emptive strike!
Sorry guys...had to cut out a lot of stuff this evening. I really just ran out of time. Reasons why tomorrow. Today I have to get to bed. I'm really sorry.

Driven To Distraction

Hey everyone. Pretty normal day all around. Well...other than the fact that I didn't do any billable work all afternoon. But other than that it's going to be an average sized post.

So...this afternoon I went and saw my first Psychiatrist. It was pretty weird. I found out that I had probably thought about my diagnosis a little too much. I say that because the Dr agreed with me and I didn't get even the slightest arguement out of him. It was nice. He asked me a lot of questions about my problem with focus and all kinds of other stuff and he really just drove it home for me. I really do have Adult ADHD. It's really not a joke anymore. But in the words of my mother: "I knew it all along" (she says that about everything). But now I find myself on the other side of the fence. Now I'm the patient. Now I'm the weirdo in the waiting room. It's a very strange feeling. He agrees with me that it's not some off-the-wall-full-blown case it's just a really mild case. So he gave me a pretty low dosage of Ritalin and just told me to take it when I felt like it and see what happens. He was a really great doctor. Good desk-side manner. I'll have to thank Mike's dad for recommending him. So...I'm sure you're all dying to know what it feels like to suddenly have the uncanny ability to actually be capable of focusing when I was once incapable of it. Well...to tell ya the truth...I don't know. I really can't tell if the medication is working. I 've really only been on it for about 5 hours and other than actually completing all my charting for today with little to no distraction(!) I really can't tell the difference. I have another chapter to read for class tomorrow so I'll let you know if I get through it without my mind drifting off into space without my consent. It likes to do that.

Well...frankly...that's really enough self-disclosure for one post. Thanks for listening :)

Watch out! Bullets!
And that's all I have for today. It was really a big news day again but I decided to keep it to the good stuff just so you guys didn't get on my case for sending out another full clip. Anyway. I'm outta here. Rockfish is calling my belly, and Kelley is calling my cell because I'm late for meeting her :)

Wow You Look Great!

Hey everyone. HUGE news day so I'm going to try and get to that as soon as possible. First I just thought I would mention that I stopped by my own job at KLIF this afternoon. It was really cool to see Annmarie again(my old boss). She was still just as chatty as ever. I think we sat in the lobby for like 45 mintues. She's great and I really miss working there...but I really don't miss all the politics that go with working at a radio station. But it sure was good to say hi.

Yup...that's all I did today. I've got a full clip for ya today so I better get to it. I don't have much more time left of my lunch.
Whew! That's all I got. I'm totally spent. And I can't believe I got all that out in time! Ok...I'm outta here. Oh! But just so you know I DID go out and get The Temple of Elemental Evil last night. I'm still playing it and I still think it's great. But there are still a couple of bugs left out there. Conflicts with DX9c evidently...joy. Can't win for trying. But it's still worth the play. I just still wish there was a zoom feature built in. On that note...I have GOT to start up some D&D with everyone here. OI!

I'm Not Just The Guy Who Hands Out Pens

Back to work. Again. I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that I won't be here much longer. Anyway...good news for everyone: Got into A&M Commerce officially this weekend. I'm on probation admission though...and that doesn't make me very happy. I was initially told that I would be on full admission that the counseling department "didn't have Probationary admission" and that everyone is either in or out. Well...I have yet to talk to my teachers so I would say that I'm definately in...I just don't know how in. Oh...and for the record I have checked and double checked. I'm definately at least on probationary admission. That was a really shallow victory but a win nonetheless! So that's all kinds of good...I'm going to celebrate later today and hit the game store and buy me some Temple of Elemental Evil....again (for $9 at gamestop! Go! Now!)! Yeah...I bought it and then played the pants off it and then got so fed up by the bugs that I just took it back to the store and sold it. But now (what...like two years later?) the game is evidently fully patched and even has a healthy moding community. Check out the two official patches here first and then go over to Circle of Eight and get the community patch and you're all set! Took a long time for the game to be a decent one...but I really enjoyed it when I was playing it and I can't wait to play it without all the crippling bugs! yeah! Accurately portrayed Turn-Based D&D experience! Whoo Hoo!

I'd like to bring it down a little a talk about something near and dear to my heart. My Game Boy Advance SP. All of you out there that have one, have you played it recently? Did you happily flip it open and start up a game? Did you get pleasure from the simple and satisfying "click!" you get with every button press? Did you think what I though? What's to improve on this design? It's a very small, perfectly well lit, long lasting, portable supernintendo with a little more power. What more could you really want? Did I really want a touch screen? Did I really need wireless access? And most importantly: Did I really need 3d? I really don't think I know the answers to all those questions. I really don't know if I want a DS replacing my SP. I guess it will last the same amount of time, be more powerful, have a better screen and all that...but...but...I'll miss my SP! I'll miss being able to fold it up and slip it into even the smallest pocket. Take it anywhere. I don't know...I'm just all torn up inside. I'm gonna go cry now.

Ok...back from a little tear-letting...it was quick...it only took one blank line of space. And at this point I think I've talked too much, so here are your bullets!

Yeah...just a two shot today. Nothing else that interesting coming through the pipes.

I Think I'm Gonna Royal Rainbow

This post I don't intend to make long. No News. Nothing interesting happened today. But I did have a good time last night over at Ed, Toni, and Jordan's. Deb, Ed, Dan, Toni, Shelley, Kelley and I were there. It was a lot of fun just sitting around and talking. I think we were there until almost 3. I really is nice just to sit around and talk with people. I miss that. I miss having people close by to talk with whenever the need arises....and sometimes when it doesn't. Basically...I guess I miss my friends. Kelley misses hers too. It's weird when all you have is your best friend to talk to all the time. I mean...it's great...but there are those times when you have talked about everything you wanted to talk about and there just isn't anything left until something happens. So it really great to mix it up with other people. I miss that.

Had to shave the cat today...again. It was totally disgusting yet again. No real news there I just thought that I would lament. Oh...and on top of that, I wasn't allowed to re-arrange "my" game room today, nor was I able to fix Ed's computer completely. It's just been one big failure of a day. That and Prince of Persia: sands of time is REALLY pissing me off. I HATE that fucking game...I just wish it wasn't so good. Anyway...Boring post for a boring day. Take it easy guys!

Before I go, I just thought I would tell you all that Mike and Erin have both partaken of an invite for Gmail. 1 Gig of online email storage all you need to do is email me and le me know you want it. Only 4 invites left!

Certificate of Authenticity...For My Hand

Hey everyone. Big day today. Dallas Comic Con was today. Almost didn't go. I didn't get a single dork-appropiate response from the invite to go to the con. Really dissappointed. I mean. It used to be the case where I had to drive all over town picking people up to come with me. Not this time. Kelley graciously went with me out of pitty. But mostly I just felt bad about dragging her there. I don't like putting people in situations that they don't want to be in just so I can go somewhere. Talked a little with Scott Kurtz, the local artist and writer that does PVP. That was cool as usual. He remembers my face now, which is pretty cool. Talked to Nick Darrington before we went in and he wanted me to give Scott his phone number. So I had an in! It's funny the way that works. I really know that if I wanted to I could go out and be really pushy and do stuff with Scott's crew...but that's just not how I work. I just don't want to intrude on someone's life like that when I'm not invited. So basically I relay information between nick and scott. Anyway...enough about how weird it is to be friends with a person who's friends with the guy who writes the comic you have been reading for 7 years. Weird. Anyway...ALSO weird is the fact that I met Brent Spinner, Steven Dorf, and the dude who played Q. Just shook their hands. That was more than good enough for me really. Made me REALLY nervous. But...are you guys ready for the icing on the cake? I thought so. Wil Wheaton signed my gamecube. yup..I know that's crazy but now I have origional art from Scott Kurtz, the Penny-Arcade guys' signatures, AND Wil Wheaton's Signature. Wil thought my Cube was totally awsome and said that he would gladly sign my cube. It was awsome...so awsome in fact that I think he still has my pen...I was a little TOO nervous talking to him. Yeah...I had some fun...definately worth the 5 bucks to get in...but I really didn't have anyone to dork out with...oh well :(

Side note...did you guys know that all the big names there were charging like 30 bucks to get signatures. Fucked up huh? It's weird to think that their signatures actually have a real world monitary value all by themselves. I don't know what that would feel like. Probably not very good I'd imagine. Shallow life at that point....charging complete dorks thirty bucks for a Signature just because they worship you and will actually pay that. Fucked up.

I guess I promised a list of games that I'm trying to get my hands on this season but will never have enough money for. I'll make it easy.

GameCube: Pikmin 2, Metroid Prime 2: Echos, Mario Tennis, Killer 7, Resident Evil 4, Baten Kaitos, Prince of Persia: The Warrior Within, Goldeneye: Rogue Agent, X-men Legends, Alien Hominid, and Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door.

Game Boy Advance: Legend of Zelda: The Minnish Cap, Mawaru Made in Wario, Fire Emblem: Seima no Kouseki, Metal Slug Advance and Tokyo Xtreme Racer Advance. And of course the Lik-Sang Video player.

Nintendo DS...yeah...I just want one of those.

PC Games: Half-Life 2, Guild Wars, D&D Online, Auto Assult, The Elderscrolls IV: Oblivion, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, World of Warcraft, Sid Meier's Pirates!, and STALKER - Shadow of Chernobyl.

Wow...that's actually the short list. And yes....completely without links. Do you have ANY idea how long that took me? And how long it would have taken to add links? Yeah...get over it. Anyway...not all of those have release dates this year....but if any of them sound interesting just check them out. I'm pretty sure I spelled them all right so just hit gamespot, gamespy, or IGN and look them up. On that note I would like to inform everyone that was interested in Oblivion to go and check out the finally released preview with screen shots. I read them all already so I'll just link the best
for ya. The game is going to be awsome. Even if you don't care you should really check the screenshots.

No interesting news today...other than Moen and I fucking DESTROYING on UT2004...but still losing. Yup...nothing. Did you know that metallic Sharpie's don't come with pocket clips? weird.

He Wants To Borrow Your Finger

Hey everyone. I only have about 15 mintues before I have to BE somewhere so I can only guess that this is going to be a really short update. If it is I promise to add more later this evening. I'm glad that it's friday. I was kinda tired of this week. Internet fucked up. Dr's claiming that I don't care enough for my consumers because I wouldn't fight it if I was fired. We're talking hypothetically and he's was arguing that I didn't care about their feelings if I left. Shit! They get upset if I take a day off! If I did everything with them in mind I would never leave and I would work on the weekends. Rediculious. He really pissed me off yesterday. And for the Record...I'm a great caseworker and get compliments from co-workers and from clients. He can kiss my ass.

This afternoon they tooled around with nerfing our internet connectivity. Killed access to MOST of my favorite websites this morning. And then removed all of the restrictions two hours later. So...just in case that's an indication taht there's more unpleasantness to come next week be aware that I might not have much news for you guys during the day and there's a very good chance that I won't be able to post at all. That would suck. But I would probably be more productive :) That or I would get that movie player for my Gameboy SP and just watch episodes of anime instead of work. Don't worry about me...I have my alternatives to actually working all planned out :)

My game anticipation list is going to have to wait till this weekend. My mother is doing "Noises Off" for UIL this year and the show starts tonight so I have to come tonight. Dallas Comic Con tomorrow. I MUST clean my car, and I have to change the oil also. I just have this feeling that it's going to be a busy weekend.

Since I didn't play anything and I haven't listened to anything but NPR in the last 24 hours I'm just going to try this one on for size:

It's Like They Have a Smell All Their Own

ok...I really hate to be an ass here but this is going to be a really quick update. I just don't have the time tonight. It's about 8:30 in the evening and I still haven't eaten dinner and I just got back from class. I was going to do an anticipating games list but I think that's going to have to wait till tomorrow. I have to get down to business. Sorry guys.

I have a Gmail Invite to give out. One gig of online storage with Google patented email. Anyone want it? Tired of Hotmail? Just shoot me a letter or a comment and I'll be happy to give them out. I have 6 invites. Just let me know. Gmail is by invite only at this time so if you want in just say so.

Box art is up for the DS Launch games. If you're interested check them out! Here.

Please welcome frank to our "Friends' Blogs" sidebar.

Today was just crisis after crisis today. That and I spent the ENTIRE morning plus all of my lunch in the waiting room of a medical clinic. And then when my consumer finally came out and we were on our way back to his house, he was being a little vague about the stuff the Dr told him so I turned around to make sure that I knew what the Dr wanted me to do. Well...turned out teh the consumer didn't even see the dr. He just saw the nurse and then walked out before the Dr got there and expected me not to notice. Fucker....I hate my population. The fucker had a fucking stroke the other day and he decides to walk out of the dr appointment. What the hell? And that was basically my day in a nutshell. Plus THREE calls from consumers in crisis at the exact moment I was supposed to leave for class. They were seriously one right after another. I would hang up the phone and the damn thing started ringing again. I was PISSED before I left there. Ugh...guess I just needed to vent. But that's really all I had time to do :)

I'll talk to you guys later I have to power down my dinner (soup! yea!) and get ready for work in the morning and then head over to kels. Goodbye free-time. I'll miss you so!

Hey everyone. Just a night cap. Finished most of my homework and took five minutes to throw yesterday's and today's posts in there. Office doesn't like my blog by the way. Many formating errors. Anyway. Go read! Both were big updates. Check the Wil Wheaton links. His blog is badass.

Dune-Buggy Thing

Hey everyone…what’s going on? This post is getting posted directly to my word document here. Why you ask? Well if you didn’t notice, the site’s been down for a couple of days…and might still be until tomorrow. I don’t really know. But what I do know is that I have Frank to thank for hosting my site…and in that statement I have some unforeseen force of nature to thank for killing frank’s air-conditioning at his place. If you don’t know anything about computers then I’ll just have to tell you that it’s a REALLY good idea to turn off your expensive hardware when the air goes out. It’s just good practice…kinda like when you unplug it during a thunderstorm. So…basically the fates have decided that I’m not going to post until Frank’s AC gets fixed…I’m sure he’s taking donations. And he’s definitely taking donations of “Thanks” for hosting my site. Thanks Frank…I don’t think you know how much you’re appreciated. The blow-Job is in the mail.

I have a question for everyone. Have you ever been so curious about something that you just couldn’t help but look at it/read about it even though you knew it would spoil your experience? Yeah…well…I had one of those moments earlier today. You all know that Half-Life 2 is coming out right? And you all know that HL2 is one of the most anticipated games for all time right? Now…here’s the hard one…did you know that gaming press get copies of the game well before it comes out? Well…I read a review today that was wrought with spoilers. I know the ending. I know who dies. Now…it’s speculated that the review was bogus so I’m keeping that in mind, and keeping my fingers crossed. But all in all…what I was faced with was a link that said: “This leads to a review that has complete spoilers in it. If you want to read it you can. But I wouldn’t because you WILL regret doing it. I did.” Man…let me tell ya…I must have thought about that link for a solid 15 seconds before I clicked on it. And let me tell ya something else…I did regret it. Have you ever done that? I mean…I really regret it…I KNOW that the game is going to be worse because I won’t get the pleasant and wonderful surprise of the ending. Man…I’m a tool.

Ok…next topic besides me being an idiot. There’s this game that’s coming out early next year called STALKER: Shadows of Chernobyl. It’s going to be pretty cool and I want all of you that might be interested to check out the link. What’s cool about it? Let me give you a rundown and then on to your bullets because I’m out of time. The game has a HUGE seamless map. Think Morrowind. And the map is directly modeled after the area around Chernobyl because the production company is based a couple of miles away. You basically traverse the ruins of the area(that’s modeled accurately I might add!) and do your thing as a stalker. Stalkers are basically for profit treasure hunters. Think Indiana Jones, with radioactive material, and a fully automatic weapon. There are other stalkers in the area and you can interact with them nice and trade stuff of you can shoot them. Bad guys you don’t have a choice…you should really just shoot them. Inventory management, money accruement, purchasing of equipment, a limited quantity of vehicles (which means you have to keep the maintenance up on the ones you want to keep), and a WHOLE lotta land. It’s gonna be cool. Check out the Vids.

Ok…and now time for the bullets.

And That’s all I got. Well…I GOT a lot of work to do so I have to go. Talk to you all later!!

The Bat

Hey everyone...LOTS to talk about...but I'll be god damned if I have enough time today. Damn it. Our internet has been down here at work all day long. Yup...all day. Now I know that I can do my job without internet and I know that I'm not addicted...but MAN...I sure can tell ya that it would totally suck to be addicted and not have it for an entire day. I guess the whole point is that I expected it and it just wasn't there. I basically checked every 5 minutes or less for the entire morning. So basically I've already eaten lunch, and just had 5 minutes to check the news for today and now I have to shoot out a quick post and get over to a consumer's place. I have till about 2 to do this and I'm making a special exception considering I accomplished my goal this morning in record time. Anyway...on with the show...

Last night Moen and I played some UT2004 again...man...good game. But more importantly Teamspeak is awsome. It's really what I expected out of it. I don't have to click any buttons for it to work, don't have to yell, just talk. I basically get to talk on the phone with anyone and play games with them at the same time. Voice quality is really no different than my cell phone...it's really just a quality program and lets me do things that I've always wanted to do. So what I'm saying is...go out and buy a 7 dollar headset, download the program and shoot me an email...please. Oh...and moen? probably won't be able to play tonight. I have to re-write my resume and go to class. sorry :(

After kicking it with some online carnage I caught that last half of the Farscape miniseries I was talking about yesterday. Man...I was really satisfied with it and I really want to talk about it. Let's try this...highlight the next part if you want to hear what I have to say...but keep in mind there are spoilers about the ending of the miniseries in it and I don't want you reading it until you have watched it. (spoilers ahead) Ok....I was really sad that they killed Ka D'argo...really sad. I really didn't want him to die at all. Couldn't they have killed someone else? Seriously? I mean...he's the character that's made the biggest change from the beginning of the series...not only that they have almost killed him by FAR the most of anyone...it's that a little wrong to actually go out there and REALLY kill him? Ugh...I'm just sad and distraught about it. But I decided last night that if they never re-visited the Farscape world again that it would be ok that they killed Ka D'argo...but if they ever went back...it would just be an empty universe without him. (Spoilers over) Yeah...and just so you guys know there's another replay of the episodes next sunday afternoon. Catch it!

And now I'm out of time...not only that I'm really trying hard not to cry at work. MAN I get too emotional about really bad stuff happening in my fantasy worlds. Anyone else have that problem? Yeah...didn't think so...

oh...and I'd like to alert some of you that commented on the first post from yesterday that I'm just about to give you a formal response so check there in a couple of minutes after this post goes up.

High calibur ammunition ahead:

On my way out...let's hope this fucking thing publishes...I think our internet pooped out again though so I'll probably have to come back and publish it later.

Round Stick Med/Moy USA

Hey everyone. Second update for the day. And for the record I wouldn't be updating during Farscape if it wasn't important to get out today instead of tomorrow. Half-Life 2 went gold earlier Today. Well...officially Gold that is....and it was during my RIDE IN FROM WORK so all you complainers can just kiss my already-preloaded-with-HL2 ASS!! Release date? Yeah knew about that shortly after lunch and if you remember I promised not to post from work other than during lunch soooo....here it's your date ya whiners! Half-Life 2 will be in stores November 16th of this year...yeah..not far off. So either start saving or go on steam and start downloading. Here's the link to steam again...

Ok...I have to go now. Farscape calls.

Long live Ka D'argo's memory.

It Makes Me Want to Eat My Hair...But in a Good Way

Hey everyone...technically you DID get a post last night but my borwser locked up right before I finished and I couldn't get back on to post again. Sorry. But what that basically means it that you're going to get a longer post than usual. Well...might be a longer post than usual. I've vowed to devote more time and attention to work...even though it's sucking my soul right out of my body I do need it and I need to continue to pay the bills. so basically from work you're going to get one post. A post for lunch and that's it. And there are going to be significantly fewed updates to the site itself than usual. I'll only work on it during my lunch hour. at thsi point I have about 20 more minutes and I'm really going to try and haul ass and get this thing posted for today.

Yesterday night the first part in the Farscape miniseries aired. It was awsome. Truly. I really missed those characters. I really did. I was kind like hanging out with old friends again when you know you're only going to get a limited time with them. You tend to savor every moment and really just take it all it. The plot picks up right where the series finale left off. Basically if you're a fan or if you've ever seen an episode you should really watch the miniseries. It's in two parts. One last night and one tonight. But don't worry the first part airs again tonight right before the second part. Don't miss it! First part airs again tonight at 6pm central time and the next part airs at the same time as last night, 8pm. Check the link for more information and regional showtimes.

Ok...ALSO this weekend it was the 30th anniversary of D&D. I know that just proves how big of a dork I really an, but in my defense there was a think on msnbc about it as well. (no links, running out of time in my lunch). But even though I didn't play any D&D this weekend I really did want to. Really. So I had no choice but to think about characters. While kelley and I were driving over to dan's place saturday night I came to the realization that there's one kind of character that none of us have really played. Here's the idea: We all make totally random characters. Stick with first rolls for stats and, random sex, race, and class. Then....ready?...we turn them all into Geriatrics and play them for all their worth! It would be a blast. Truly. I really think that all the jokes and fun roll playing that would come out of a band of adverturer's that were all within 10 years of the end of their natural lives would be freaking histerical. Colostomy bags, walkers, incontenence, ancient-viagra...it would be a god damn riot. and with the stat minuses and bonuses it would be even more interesting. Of course they wouldn't start at first level...probably 5th or something...and there would be some other problems I'm sure ...but man...it sure would be funny :)

ok...I'm out of time here are the bullets for today and yesterday:

String of Pearls...Real Pearls

Hey everyone...just in the nick of time to keep up that once a day thing. This is gonna be a quickie as every weekend post is going to be. It's been a quick weekend and I'm really not very happy about that. Moen and I got out Teamspeak working. It works great and there's really nothing to complain about....well...if we could just find a game to play at this time then we would really be kicking ass. Played some farcry but there was some problem with the program that was causing some kind of memory leak over on moen's end and he was having major FPS problems. Then last night kelley and I were pretty bored so we just drove around north dallas for most of the night. Then came back here and passes out. Played a little Counter-Strike: Source last night before I started talking to moen. Right after work I jumped in there are started playing. Took a couple of rounds to get the hang of it. I'm still not quite sure why everyone is so obsessed with the game but I guess it was pretty fun. It was basically team deathmatch with a little alternative win conditions thrown in for shits and giggles. Nothing really that interesting I guess. But I WILL say that the Source engine is pretty fucking cool. Really.

Today kelley and I did a lot but it made our day go by really fast. Walked around her neighborhood looking for the guy that hit my car. Got nothing out of that. Returned some stuff to the store. Kelley got a library card for the richardson library. Then later in the day we met up with Dan and had a pretty good time just hanging out and talking. All-in-all is was a good day....minus the emotional outburst I had about work this morning before everything got started. Basically it broke down to: I'm going to have to get a new job. Hands down. Need one. I basically can't do this job anymore and if I don't watch it I'm actually going to lose it. But that's really all you need to hear about that.

I don't really have any news for you but I do have a killerapp for you guys. The BIG killer app is this: Bittorrent. It's basically a really useful way to download stuff off websites like 3dgamers and other sites that use Torrent Seeds. It's most useful when downloading something that's pretty big and the web site that is hosting the entire file is full. It's basically a way to connect specific files to a peer-to-peer network. It works really well for those demos that those servers are too full to actually let you download. If you would like a more feature rich version of the same program try this: BitTornado. That's what I use. Enjoy!

Music that's in my car as we speak: same as yesterday...get over it.

I'll Spit on It.

Hey guys this is going to be a two post day I think. Lot of news coming down the pipe and a hand full of interesting things going on with me. As usual we'll start with me. and once again since I'm at work and trying to do a bette r job here I'm going to try and keep my links under control. Last night went out with erica for some ice cream. Hung out...talked. It was really nice to get out and talk with her. I haven't been able to do anything like that in a long time and I really have every intention of doing it again. When LIFE allows that is :(

Nothing new with the car. Still haven't made it to the police station. Did I meantion that I actually have to go to the police station to file a report of hit and run? yeah...talk about pain in the ass. And since it was technically in dallas I have to go to a DALLAS department. crap.

After getting home from hanging out with erica I had a little alone time with moen. The idea was to use our teamspeak server to talk to eachother and play some games. Well...we ran into a little glitch of sorts. It would seem that windows automatically sets itself up by default to record EVERYTHING that comes through the speakers. This caused a problem. Not only did it cause a problem of hearing myself talk in full voice a full 2 seconds later it also caused me to hear everything that was coming through moen's speakers. The only reason that I knew what to do was because I checked the FAQ and was remembered that XP does that by default and you have to actually find the correct control panel and change it manually. Joy. Well...an hour and a half later plus a newly awoken kelley (sorry again) I remembered where the control panel was and problem solved. Man...that was a pain in the ass.

But I did pre-Purchase HL2 and I did download my Counter-Strike: source so all is right in the world. I went with the silver package. Courious about any of this? check the link. I should be giving it it's first run through this weekend. So if any of you are interested in playing ANY computer game with full voice support plus me and moen, download the Client of Teamspeak, and get in contact with me. I'm running a server and I need to register you before you can participate. But it IS up and running perfectly and all it needs now are people. :) please join us :)

More later I'm sure. Very full day and it's not even 9 am yet. Here are your bullets.
That's all I got. Really don't have time for any more until later, so I'm really hoping that there isn't anything else going on today.

Music in my car as we speak: Reggie and The Full Effect - Promotional Copy
Game I last played: Technically...Farcry...but I never got into the actual game yesterday...see above for reasons.

It Still Articulates

****If anyone is having trouble viewing the site with Internet explorer please let me know. I was having some trouble at Kel's last night. Half of the sidebars decided to move all the way down to the bottom of the page. Let me know**************

Good morning everyone. I just wanted to get in something quick this morning. A hand full of news has already hit and I just wanted to get in before my day starts. I have a home visit to go to here in just a second so this is going to be a little more link sparse than usual. Sorry.

In Tommy news today...My car was side swiped last night. I was over at Kel's studying and I heard what I thought was someone droping a LOT of crap on their way out to their car. And get this...it actually crossed my mind that my car had just been hit. But I didn't get up. I was on a roll studying and I really didn't want to interupt that and go outside. Damn me...me and my laziness. Fucked up Zod's entire driver's side. Nearly took my side mirror, but luckily it's still attached and still works. But man...my car looks like it was in a fight....and I've been on the verge of crying about it all morning. It's probably just paint damage and a couple of dents but I really need to report it to the cops and all...I just don't think I have the time today. Crap. I'm just really upset about it and needed to talk. Sorry guys :(

Here are your bullets for the morning:
That's all I got for today. Only three links. See...told ya I was having a bad day :(

It's Raining Maggots

Hey everyone. Couple of things today. Might do that bullet point thing again...can't decide. I think I just might talk. But either way I DID just get back from the "Multi-cultural" meeting at work. They are taking 3 hours out of the work day to "celebrate diversity" listen...I can respect that and all but I really don't hear about crap like that from my other friends. Is this inherent to the mental health field? Health fields in general? All I know is that every chapter in every book in all of my classes in school have a multicultural section at the end detailing how the chapter can relate to peoples of other cultures. We even have a class on multicultural counseling that is required. Listen...I'm not being a bigot. Really. I just think that they are doing a little overkill here. It's like everyone thinks that they need to cram down my throat that there are other people in the world and that they might think differently than me. Now listen...if my GRANDFATHER was taking this class I could understand...but I grew up with black friends, gay friends, gay family, indian friends, latino friends, and asian friends. I'm constantly correcting people who think that calling asians "orientals" is OK. I've been to just about every country in the EU and then some. I just don' t think that it's necessary and it really just makes me feel sour about the whole thing. It's just not presented in a manner that makes me feel like an adult...it just makes me think that my profession thinks I'm an idiot and need to be treated like one. Anyway...diversity celebration DID get me some baklava so I really shouldn't complain that much....really...

So I brought the jacket that kelley's mom got me for last christmas/birthday to work today. Man that thing looks good but I'm really paranoid that I'm going to get something on it or it's going to get stolen or something like that. I love that jacket...maybe a little too much. Even if it does make me accutely aware of the fact that I have a bit of a dandrif problem. PLEASE DON'T STARE!

Yep...no bullet points today....not that I don't like them I just don't really feel like it today. It was good to talk to Erica last night. We're gonna get out and sit down for a little bit on thursday I think.

It is NPR's pledge drive this week so I went blazing through a whole album on my MD player this morning on my way to work. I just don't think that I'm one of those people that likes music in the morning. I really just perfer news. I wonder why that is...probably has something to do with my overwhelming desire to sing when I listen to music and I'm just not awake enough for that in the morning I guess.

Oops...here come the bullet points for the rest of the post!

Ok...I think that's all I got. Cue the music and games!

Stooge

ok...I was a little forgetful this afternoon. I have made several updates to the site today and I didn't even put the music and game of the day. And I had so many typos from the last post to correct that it really just got outta hand.

This is a true quicky.

Only news for today is that Red Vs Blue just released the first episode of season three.

Yet...that's the whole post! Oops! Almost forgot again!

Appropiate to use indelible ink

Well...yet again more changes around here. Changed the name of the site. Number of reasons for that. I just felt that my talking and interests were just too random to be titled "Days in the life of cerif27" and frankly...I thought it was a stupid name to begin with. So...I'm acutally already using this name for something else but it will do well here. Very Appropiate I think. Let me know what you think of the new Roulette Wheel inspired color scheme?? Ok...I don't actually know how to change the physical shape of my blog and I really think this shape works for now..but I have been consistently unsatisfied with the color choices. What do you think of this color scheme? Leave a comment and let me know!

Anyway...that's one of the few things I've done at work today...oh..that and I organized the side bar a little better and added some links. Check 'em out!

Not very enthusiastic today so the post is going to be kinda weak. Though I have decided that I'm going to pre-purchase HL2 through Steam this thursday. Just in time for me to get the hang of the controls so that when moen comes back online with a new computer this friday I have someone to play something with. Still waiting for Natural-Selection and Gunbound buddies :) I know you're out there and you want to play so bring it on!

I have class tonight and I have to turn in the test that I did in class last Tuesday. Ya know what's funny aboout all that? Well...nothing really, nevermind.

Anyway...I can see that I'm rambled out. Maybe I'll have something else to say tonight after class. Don't forget to comment on the colors. You guys read this thing more than I do...need some input!

Death of Superman

The Second Album

Lots of changes have been made around here. If you didn't notice I got the archives up and running and I have figured out the Post Title field! :) I just love giving things names that only kinda make sense. I know that's a little weird but I have really taken a liking to the post scripts on the post entries over at penny-arcade. So welcome the new title line...play nice.

Today was the first day back at work since last thursday. This was one of the most relaxing weekends I've had in a long god damn time. Fun birthday action thursday night and saturday afternoon. Hung out with Mike a lot, had a great time. Haven't had more fun on a weekend since I started working at this god-forsaken place. But anyway...it was a VERY refreshing weekend and I have to appologize to anyone that had to listen to me ramble incessantly this weekend. I was VERY excited to get to talk to someone other than kelley or people at work. It has been several weeks since I actually got to have a conversation with more than one person and I get a little carried away...don't worry...I'm about to start taking medication for that.

Anyway...I suppose that I should start giving you the news for the day. I know you are all dying to hear about my deepest emotions and concerns but right now, with no one to talk to but myself these ARE my deepest emotions and concerns.
Well...I think that' s about all the rambling that you guys need for one day. I might get back to ya later. We'll see.

Connections

Hey everyone. It's been a fun weekend. Mike Moen came down for the weekend and I took friday off so it was a long one for me :) Had a little bit of a quarter life breakdown but after the 5 minutes of tears everything was ok :) I then decided that I must have experienced Male PMS. Or something like it. I just got way too emotional about crap that didn't even matter. ANYWAY. Having Mike down here for the weekend has been great. I think I saw more of the guys this weekend that I have in a long time. Made me realize how much I miss hanging out with everyone and for the first weekend in a long time I really didn't think about having to go to work on monday. It was really really great.

Let's see...it was Cait's birthday on Friday....still don't really think that I know how to talk to teenagers anymore. I really think that sucks. Cait and I share a lot in common but I really have no idea how to get her to relate to me like I'm another human being. Oh well. I guess there's really nothing I can do about that. She's a great young lady and I just wanted to wish her Happy Birthday! And good luck on the driving!

Had a couple of moen requests for links and I guess I'm just too lazy to put them into an email. But since I thought some of you guys might be interested I am posting the links here on my weblog:

First off is Firefox and Thunderbird. I'm sure there are a great number of you out there that have heard me talk about the browser that I use. Well I talk about it for a number of reasons. I love it and it's the best browser I have ever used. I has been blocking pop-ups for me for over a year and it's very good at keeping unwanted cookies, worms, and spyware off my computer. And it just went into version 1.0 or at least a preview release of 1.0. If you are into that kind of thing for the love of god download firefox and start using the internet the way you want to: without fear.

Second is a little program called Teamspeak. It basically sets up a VOIP network and allows you to talk to you friends when you play any game online. And that means any game. Any kind of MMORPG, action game...anything. and honestly you could just sit there and not play any games at all and just enjoy talking with your friends for free. It's a little complicated to set up a server but if you have a friend who knows how to do it (like me) and he's running the server, then it's really easy to get started and enjoy playing games with your friends who have moved away. Just click the link above and download the client, install it and you're ready to go :) Now all ya need is someone to talk to: so leave me a comment and I will be happy to let you use my server.

Oh and here's one more just for good measure. I don't like AIM and I'm not a big fan of the idea of having popups and ads coming with my IM program. That's why I moved to
Trillian. It basically houses all manner of IM programs. Yahoo, AIM, ICQ, MSN, and IRC. You can use all of them or one of them. It's really nice. And basically all the features of all the different programs are included such as file transfer and checking your yahoo email for you. It's really quite awsome and I'll probably never use another IM program again. There is a free version and a registered version. I used the free version for about a year and a half and then I registered. Man...version 2.013 is really amazing and sleek. You won't be disappointed if you register. Anyway Check it out!

Basically that's all I got for this weekend. I really just don't have anyth
ing else that's going on. oh! I take that back, Mike got me this totally cool "card" game called Pirates of the Spanish Main. Basically you punch out little models of pirate ships and put then together and sail them around the table top getting treasure and sinking other people's ships. Well thought out and easy to learn...just need to find some more people to play it with.

Ok ok that should be enough for today. I should really get may ass to the shower and start getting ready to pooey work tomorrow. Man...I'm really starting to dislike crazy people.

Long Day, I Wish I Was As Lon.....Nevermind.

Because it's my day off I'm going to try and keep thsi simple because I still haven't eaten dinner. Had class as usual. Went to work as usual. Usual crazy-making two hour lunch meeting. But I have a bunch of news for you guys. Sadly I really don't get to expound too much because of the hunger in my belly.

An Austrian Woman won the nobel prize for literature. Go German language!

There is such a thing as "Free Running" has anyone ever heard of this? Check out the link for some Vids.

Leasure Suit Larry Demo sucked ass...There is no link in this news post...I just want you to know not to buy it unless you're a horny teenager who's a bit of a moron.

I'm working on my Color Scheme here...help me out. The grey and the black and the white are going to stay I think. I need a forth color or some thing to replace the white. Obviously orange and blue don't work so what do you think of the red?

Katamari Damacy is one of the most fun games I have played in a long while. I'm sure I'll have more to say about it later but it's truly awsome. If you have 20 bucks and a playstation poo...I mean two then you owe it to yourself to get this game. It will make you crazy.

Ok...here's where it get quicker...my stomach is grumbling.

Nintendo conference on the DS was today. It went really well. I'm extremely excited...but not yet sold.Check The links:
a-One, a-Two, A-Three...CRUNCH!

You can start pre-purchase of Half-Life 2 today through steam. You remember STEAM...RIGHT? You get a full copy of Counter-Strike: Source now and a copy of HL2 when it gets relesed. Pick your poison

Anyway...I'm basically outta here. Too many links for one post.

David Bowie I Love You

If you didn't notice there have been some changes around here. It took most of the morning and I should have been working but I had a big home visit in the afternoon so there's really no reason to get worried about my benchmarks. Things are still changing around here and I'm still trying to figure some stuff out but for doing nothing but staring at some code I would say that I did a good job :) Other than that I'm supposed to go over to Josh and Christina's tonight but I don't know if they are going to call and have the time. If not I'll just have to do it later.
Hey...did you guys know that D&D is turning 30? Yup! and on the 16th of Oct. they are declaring WorldWide D&D Game Day I just wish I could get some of the guys to participate. I think I can work on a couple of 'em. If Dan is reading be prepaired for me to come and hound you about a one shot. Anyway. I'm getting really tired of GTAIII and being rather ADHA that's really no big suprise. I just downloaded the German demo of Leasure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude. We'll see how that goes.
Other than that really nothing to report as of yet...I really need a day off and I'm going to be taking one this friday. Those two tests in a row just really kicked my ass and robbed me of a little too much of my last two weekends. Anyway...not trying to get too talky today. I'll let you guys go.

He was the last

This is the last of my updates for the day guys. I spent a lot of time working on the colors on this freakin' thing earlier today and man...let me tell ya...no fun at all. Well...compared to work it was fun but compared to fun it was definately work. Anyway...not much to tell. Bought myself some Clickable Sharpie action. I love my clickable sharpie. Other than that I did a take home exam in class with the rest of my class today. Man..let me tell ya...if you teacher doesn't mind that's the BEST way to handle take home tests. It took us about 2 hours but at least I'm all done and pretty confident that I got an A so no complaints here. Though I must say that if I had done it on my own...I probably would have barely passed...and that's giving myself a little too much credit. But I did know a multitude of answers to the test off the top of my head and several classmates called me "mister genius" so I'm down with that. I disagree...but I'm down with it anyway. Anyway...i really have to get my game on over at Kelley's so I have to go. I'm updating the links to those games from yesterday so go back and look if you were interested in online action games.

This is me...outta here.

The Time That Takes You Away

ok...this should be pretty quick. I think. This is basically all about this new thing that I have been pining about for that last 24 hours. I've seriously got quite the woody about this one. It's a cute little cartridge that let's you play movies on your GBA SP...but not only that...it plays MP3's ...but not only that...It reads eBooks...bu not only that...it can display pictures and...get this...it can play "homebrew games". Basically what that means is that you can put nes games onto the damn thing and it will emulate them...and it can multitask (ie read while playing music.) it's basically a little Compact Flash reader for your GBA with a ton of built in little things it can do. But get this...it's cheap as hell...$24.90. Only problem is that you have to buy a CF reader and card for your PC. Not too bad really considering that you can get a 1GB CF card on ebay for about 60 bucks and a reader for about 10. But if you already have all that...don't stop now! BUY BUY BUY! Anyway...that's really all I had to say, and actually I was supposted to post it last night I just didn't for ..."other" reasons.

Well...that's interesting.

If you didn't notice, I have had a little confusion this morning. I was supposed to be working and I really just didn't do that today. I should have but I didn't or at least I haven't really done it yet. I spent all morning trying to figure out what was going on with my weblog it would seem that I should have just left it alone. It published EVERYTHING I wrote today...and that would include the 25+ times I tried to publish my appology update. wow...that was a little out of control.

Promise it won't happen again...today...

oh...but here's a new feature stolen straight from erin's blog:

Tommy "Grand Theft BLOG!!" Schubert

Wow...I just erased the longest post I've ever written. awsome. What a great day this is turning out to be. FUUUUUCK!

God...let's try this again. Here's the long and the short of it:

kelley's mom got me a jacket. it's awsome.

I love not paying for online games because I have a computer. Fuck subscriptions.

I've been playing Natural Selection, UT 2004 demo, Tribes:vengence demo, GTA III and Farcry...and by the way...integrated voice support is an absolute MUST HAVE for online games. LOVE IT! (links after I get home)

Shaun of the Dead was amazingly funny...go see it!

Washed my car for the first time in six months and now it's raining. 'nuff said.

The logitech wireless controller for the PS2 and Burnout 3 are good but I don't have anyone to play it with, or anything else for that matter. I miss playing games with others. It's just not the same with everyone split and with kelley in anti-videogame mode. Though she did let me play quite a bit of Burnout 3 this weekend so that's awsome. But she still won't play with me :(

Miss Mike and Erin greatly and need to think of a new way to keep in contact with them. Taking suggestions. And I miss hanging out with the guys and wish my life wasn't split into to competely seperate locations. And I'm not fully admitted to grad school yet. I misread the letter in my excitement of getting it. So I'm still waiting with my fingers crossed.

that's all I got for now. Losing that earlier post really pissed me off

Tommy "don't worry I know kelley doesn't read this" Schubert

Hey everyone. Interesting, if fast, weekend. Got to talk to Mike. Man I miss that guy. Got me a haircut. Got me a jacket last weekend and finall had the chance to wear it. Saw Shaun of the Dead. Washed my car. Cleaned up my computer a little. Bought a wireless controller with Dan's gift card for Kelley's PS2 (which is the devil) and then I rented Burnout 3. Fun was had by all on my weekend so let's get to the details.

Talking with Mike was cool if brief. I know he doesn't like to talk on the phone that much so I just have this little voice in the back of my head that tells me not to call or I'll annoy him. So it was good that I got up the nerve to call him. They are busy as hell up there too. But their's is more exhaustion than lack of time. And since I'm pretty sure kelley doesn't take the time to see what her boyfriend had to say about his day: I'm jealous that mike and erin play games together, but that's really no secret. Erin, Mike, Mike and I are going to get our online groove on here soon anyway so I'll get my social interaction/video game fix soon enough. But man...let me tell ya. I really don't mind NOT paying monthly to play online games. oi! Got a little shout out to Natural Selection, Steam Client, Farcry, and the demo's for Unreal Tournament 2004 and Tribes: Vengance...WORD! (I'll add links to those later...I can't get to those web sites at work to verify links)

Haircut...still losing it...joy. That's about enough about that subject.

Last weekend Kelley's mom pitched in a LOT to get me a nice jacket so that I could have a nice looking dress jacket for when kelley and I go out and for work stuff. It's totally badass and when I look in the mirror it takes a LOT of restraint not to make out with myself right then and there. Yea...good jacket.

Shaun of the Dead was awsome. FULL of throwbacks to other Classic Zombie movies and other horror films. If you have ever liked a classic Zombie movie you absolutely have to see this film, and if you can handle a little gore and you like a good comedy then you should see this film a well. Very funny all around and not scary at all. Great movie. I will be purchasing it when it comes to DVD.

Car got washed, inside didn't get cleaned and oil didn't get changed. And then it rained today like god was getting over a bender. yup.

Burnout 3 and my little Logitech wireless ps2 are pretty darn cool...though I didn't fully purchase either. I don't have a problem giving my money to logitech...in my opinion they make exqusite equipment, but I still can't get my head around buying burnout 3 for myself. Though absurd amounts of fun, it's really not worth fifty bucks of my own money. That and I can't get anyone to play with me. poo...

Well that was my weekend....that and a lot of reading for my test on tuesday. Man...tests. I really hate getting back in there and taking tests again. seriously. But I guess it could be worse. oh...I guess it did get a little worse. It would seem that I misread my letter from A&M the other day. I'm NOT fully admitted as of yet. I still have a little more to wait. but after paying the last half of my tuition, I fucking BETTER get admitted!

That's all I've got. It's raining really hard this morning and my consumer never feel like coming in when it rains. I don't really blame them...I mean...they do have to take the buses everywhere and that sucks...so I guess it's a paperwork day. Joy...

well if you didn't notice there have been a couple more subtle changes going on around here. I have added both Erin's and Deb's web logs to my sidebar. If any more of you out there would like be included to the sidebar just let me know! only criteria is that you update at least once a week. Basically I'm going for some kind of friend network so that you can get a brief overview of any of "The Guy's" lives just by logging onto the internet and by starting to read the multitude of blogs that should be linked to eachother. At least that's the plan. Needless to say it's a bad plan, but it might work :)

So I link to you and we both link to everyone that the other person is linked to. Insanity insues!

Did I mention that my job sucks? I was just wondering if I'm actually BAD at my job. I know that's a weird thing to think about but I think that I might actually be intrinsically bad at my job. For those of you who don't know my job basically consists of socialwork. Gettin'-your-hands-dirty socialwork. I just can't take a full 9 hour day of socialwork. and I don't even care if it's one word or two. But anyway. I'm basically working out the particulars for getting out of this job and into something closer to home and less stressful...but then again I do have the time type in my blog during work hours.

enough about me and MAN I wish I had more to talk about than work. Sorry about that guys. More as it comes.
